Mushroom Restart

Four compounds held pre-op on a blanket bleeding rule and never re-gated. They don't share a risk profile — so they don't share a date. Zero slippage to the glucose spine.

Why they're not one variable

Turkey Tail is a β-glucan with no antiplatelet mechanism. Lion's Mane has a weak in-vitro-only signal — and gastroprotective evidence that makes a healing duodenum an argument for it. Cordyceps is the only one that is both antiplatelet-adjacent (cordycepin / adenosine analogs) and CGM-active. Sequencing them together would be exactly the blanket rule this protocol rejects.

The governing constraint is channel, not calendar

Two agents can start days apart and still be unattributable if they read out on the same channel. The mushroom track fits because Lion's Mane and Turkey Tail are CGM-neutral — they slot inside glucose-stack windows without corrupting them.

CGM channel
Berberine → R-ALA → Bilberry → Panax. Do not move.
GI / microbiome
ProBiota · MegaSpore · every NAC ramp step
Cognitive / mucosal
Largely empty — where Lion's Mane lands

Spacing rule: ≥72 h from any NAC ramp step (they read out on GI/sulfur), and never the same day as another addition — even on a different channel.

🍄 The sequence
1
~July 19shift ±2 d to clear your actual NAC step
Lion's Mane · Erinamax
First back, and deliberately so. The bleed signal is in-vitro only (hericenone B), while H. erinaceus carries real gastroprotective evidence — in a healing duodenum this is a net-positive compound, not a tolerated risk. Channel is cognitive/mucosal, which is empty. Lands ≥5 days after the 7/14 PPI decision so an acid-status change can't be mistaken for a mushroom effect.
Dose ladder — one product at a time
Day 1Erinamax only, 6 AM slot. Nothing else added.
+4 daysAdd Lion's Mane 6:30 AM — if the first sat clean.
+4 daysAdd Lion's Mane 3 PM → canonical 3 doses/day restored.
⚠️ Open item: Erinamax and your "Lion's Mane" are both H. erinaceus. If they're separate products, that's three doses of one species — one variable, three slots. Confirm the products before Day 1; if they're the same SKU, collapse the ladder to two steps.
2
~July 28CGM-neutral · slots inside the Bilberry window safely
Turkey Tail
Lowest bleed risk of the four — PSK/PSP β-glucans have no antiplatelet mechanism. The reason it isn't first is different: PSP is prebiotic, so it reads out on the same GI/microbiome channel as ProBiota and MegaSpore. It waits until both probiotics have ~2 weeks of clean tolerance, or you can't tell which one moved your stool.
Dose ladder
Day 1500 mg at Meal 1 only.
+4 daysAdd 500 mg at Dinner → canonical 1,000 mg/day.
📋 Lab note: PSK/PSP is immunostimulatory. Your WBC already runs supplement-suppressed — Turkey Tail may nudge it. Note the start date so a future differential isn't misread.
3
~August 5after IF re-stabilizes · after Panax's window closes
Cordyceps
Last, alone, and half-dose. It is the only one of the four that occupies two loaded channels at once — cordycepin and adenosine analogs inhibit platelet aggregation, and it has glucose-lowering activity. It can't share a window with the glucose stack, and by August it meets the most healed duodenum and the longest post-bleed distance.
Dose ladder — half-dose entry
Day 1Half dose, 6:30 AM slot only. Watch CGM for 4 days.
+4 daysFull dose, 6:30 AM.
+4 daysAdd Cordyceps #2 at 10 AM → canonical restored.
🩸 Additive watch: by August your NAC will be well up its ramp. NAC and cordyceps both carry mild antiplatelet activity — individually trivial, jointly worth noticing. This is the one mushroom where a bleeding-side stop condition is live, not theoretical.
Why this order and not "safest first"

A naïve read puts Turkey Tail first (lowest bleed risk) and Lion's Mane second. That's wrong here — it optimizes the risk axis while ignoring the attribution axis, which is the binding constraint.

Turkey Tail's β-glucans land on the same GI/microbiome channel your two probiotics just occupied. Lion's Mane doesn't. So the compound with the slightly higher (in-vitro, theoretical) bleed signal goes first because it's the one whose effect you can actually read cleanly — and because its mucosal-healing profile makes it the item you most want on board early.

Risk here is not the scarce resource. Clean signal is.

Dates are anchors, not locks

Every date shifts if the day before wasn't clean. The three hard rules that survive any reshuffle:

1 · ≥72 h from any NAC ramp step.

2 · Never the same day as another addition — even a different channel.

3 · Cordyceps never inside a live CGM window, and never before the Aug-1 IF transition has settled ~4 days.

If the PPI stops 7/14 and epigastric symptoms shift at all, the whole track pauses — acid status is a bigger variable than any mushroom.

Stop conditions for this track

Dark or tarry stool · visible blood · new dizziness · resting HR climbing · new epigastric pain · any stool change you can't attribute. Drop back one step, hold 5 days, re-read. Two failed attempts at the same step means that compound doesn't come back this cycle — not that you push through it.
